Warlukurlangu artist Julie Nangala Robertson has won the General Painting Award at the 2023 NATSIAA in Darwin for her painting titled Mina Mina. The Yuendumu-born artist says Mina Mina is the name of an "extremely important ceremonial site for Napangardi and Napanangka women". Congratulations Julie!

MELINDA SCHAWEL ANNOUNCED AS FINALIST IN WAMA ART PRIZE FOR WORKS ON PAPER
Congratulations to Melinda Schawel, a finalist in the WAMA Art Prize for this work, ‘Pulsating’. Flinders Lane Gallery is proud to announce that three of our talented artists have been selected as finalists in the Hazelhurst Art on Paper Award. The biennial Hazelhurst Art on Paper Award is a significant national exhibition that aims to elevate the status of work on paper while supporting and promoting artists working with this medium. MICHAEL SIMMS ANNOUNCED AS FINALIST IN ARCHIBALD 2023
A big congratulations to Michael Simms, who has been announced as a finalist in this year’s Archibald Prize with his portrait of the artist Zaachariaha Fielding. Simms reflects: “I met Zaachariaha early in 2020 and we've had a few portrait sittings over the years - most recently in January 2023, resulting in this portrait. I’m struck by Zaachariaha’s authenticity – which is warm, courageous, introspective, sensitive, and deeply engaged in the creative process.”

Chelsea Gustafsson Selected to Exhibit with Metro Tunnel Creative Program
We are very proud to announce that super talented FLG artist Chelsea Gustafsson has been selected to participate in the Metro Tunnel Creative Program! Chelsea has two incredible paintings on display as part of ‘Making the Metro Tunnel: reflections by contemporary Australian artists’. This creative partnership with the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria is a free exhibition taking place at Domain House, Dallas Brooks Drive, South Yarra. 1 April - 7 May, 11am – 5pm.
