JACOB LEARY FINALIST IN THE GLOVER PRIZE
Jacob Leary has been announced as a finalist in the annual Glover Prize for 2018. The prestigious Glover Prize seeks out the very best of contemporary painting depicting the Tasmanian landscape. Leary's work New topographies of nature (dyptich) 2017, acrylic paint, artificial moss, and other mixed media, 120 x 70 cm, explores a new form of landscape, a new synthesis of what nature is, where it’s found and how humans and non-humans may relate to it.

Chelsea Gustafsson announced as a finalist in this year’s Hurford Hardwood Portrait Prize
Cheslea Gustafsson has been announced as a finalist in the biennial Hurford Hardwood Portrait Prize. Now in its 6th year the prize started as The Northern Rivers Portrait Prize, a painting and drawing prize open to artists Australia wide whose artwork depicted a person from the Northern Rivers. It has since expanded to include portraits of any subject. Gustafsson's work '5 and 6' will be at Lismore Regional Gallery until Sept 23.
