• Michelle Molinari in Fragile Earth: Extinction at Gippsland Art Gallery

    Gippsland Art Gallery introduces 'Fragile Earth', a new series of biennial exhibitions that will explore different aspects of our changing climate and its effect on life on Earth. The first of the series, 'Extinction', sees artists come together to explore and articulate through their various art practices the complexities of our current ecological crisis.   • Peter Syndicas in 2022 Waterhouse Prize

    Peter Syndicas is a finalist in the 2022 Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize. His pieces 'Early Life Forms', made from fossilised stromatolites recieved a high commendation and will travel to Canberra later in the year. More info here. Artist Statement:These five specimens of fossilised stromatolites have been carved into fractal forms to pay homage to the connecting patterns which can be found in the wide varieties of organic life they have given birth to.

  • Longhurst Finalist in Archibald 2022

    Congratulations to Kathrin Longhurst on the announcement of her painting 'Irrational' as a finalist in this year's Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery of NSW. 

  • Dónal Molloy-Drum completes commission for Whitehorse Artspace at Box Hill Town Hall

    This is the stunning new sculpture 'Resting Light' by Donal Molloy-Drum was commissioned for the front entrance of Whitehorse Artspace at Box Hill Town Hall. This magnificent piece has been crafted from high quality stainless steel and specialty glass. Thank you to the City of Whitehorse for the opportunity to realise something of scale. Thank you too to Matt and the team at Roma Bros for their thoughtful work on the accompanying plinth.⁠

  • Kim Anderson a finalist in the 2021 Grace Cossington Smith Award

    Kim Anderson has just been announced as one of 45 finalists in the 2021 Cossington Smith Award with her drawing Down Amongst the Bones, 2020, ink, charcoal and pastel on paper 76 x 56cm. 
    The exhibition has been postponed until 2022, with the official opening on 4th February at Grace Cossington-Smith Gallery, Abbotsleigh, NSW.  Open to the public from 5th-26th February. Full details here.
