“In this series, I delve into the relationship between the body and environment, and identity shifts in response to the climate. For me the horizon reflects transformation and duality – the threshold between land to sea, day to night, and an entry point into dreamscapes and liminal spaces. Here, the figure is going through a process of metamorphosis in relation to this line. It sits below and views from afar, it sits above and looks down, and eventually lines vibrate and blur and the body ruptures into multiple entities.
While speaking to ideas around perception and realities in the digital age, these works also reflect my ongoing research into the body and experimentation with movement practices that engage with the physicality of paint.”
