Kerrie
Leishman was born in Creswick, Victoria, Australia.
She received a Scholarship and studied Fine Art at
the Ballarat College of Advanced Education. In
1987 she was employed as an artist for the Sydney
Morning Herald and still holds that position working
from her home in Kangaroo Valley N.S.W. Inspired by
the surrounding land and the misty river she crosses
daily, Leishmans paintings convey the mystery
and movement of the open space.
Kerrie
has been successfully exhibiting her dramatic and
emotive oil paintings at Flinders Lane Gallery since
1993. Her woks entice us to experience a journey of
impending threat, promise, and rebirth.
